About 100klm South of Sarina and not too far off the Bruce Hwy on Flaggy Rock Road, set amongst 5 acres of green grass, shady and sunny spots….this campground is at the old Flaggy Rock School.
The school buildings are still in use by the local community for arts and crafts, there’s no power available but there are taps with access to bore water (not suitable for drinking though).
There’s a toilet block but no showers, apart from a cold shower by the pool.
On the grounds is a small swimming pool, great spot on those warm days…..pool entry for our family was only a few dollars as a donation.
Nightly camping fee is $7 a night (money goes back into the community and camp grounds) you are able to stay for three days, though at the time we were the only ones there, so stayed on a couple of extra days.
Big Rig Friendly except maybe in the wet, pets are also welcome and we had no problem with the TV ,internet and mobile reception.
The caretakers were wonderful ,and a very friendly neighbour in the house next door gave us a box of huge mango’s
